A new academic partnership between Emporia State University and Washburn University School of Law will benefit ESU students who want to become attorneys and help address the problem of legal representation across much of the state. The partnership allows students to complete a bachelor’s degree as well as a law degree in six years.
A professor who delights in sharing his knowledge and mentoring the next generation of biologists is the 2024 Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor at Emporia State University. Dr. William Jensen, professor of wildlife ecology, director of ESU Natural Areas and director of the Schmidt Museum of Natural History, learned of the award during his field ecology class on Tuesday, April 30.

Aubrey Wilson is welcomed into the new role after teaching theatre appreciation and directing Sarah Ruhl’s “Late, A Cowboy Song” in the School of Visual and Performing Arts during the 2023 academic year.
