Emporia State University students and faculty will learn from experts when the 2024 Kansas Teacher of the Year team visits campus on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
Six of the 2024 Horizon Award winners earned their degrees from Emporia State University. The recipients were announced by the Kansas Department of Education recently. They will be honored at a ceremony during the Kansas Exemplary Educators Network State Education conference on Feb. 23 in Topeka.
At midnight on Dec. 31, Emporia State University’s comprehensive fundraising campaign, Together, Forward, officially ended. Gifts postmarked on or before Dec. 31 are still arriving, but the university can already report this has been the largest, most successful fundraising campaign in ESU history. The campaign surpassed its $75 million goal, and the final total will be publicly announced on Feb. 17, in conjunction with a celebration event for donors to the campaign.
Emporia State University will receive $500,000 for the Simulation Hospital in its new Nursing + Student Wellness Building after action December 27 by the Newman Regional Health Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees recognizes the historical partnership with ESU and is committed to continuing its support of nursing workforce development.
A diverse group of 11 professionals with an array of experience in higher education, business, banking, public service and law enforcement has joined the Emporia State University Foundation Board of Trustees.
