Emporia State’s University Libraries and Archives is sponsoring Stringtown Bus Tours on Thursday, March 7.

Two groups of 14 will enjoy the 45-minute bus tours to experience the story of the neighborhood featured in the book “Black Emporia.” The book tells of African-American experiences in Emporia from 1890 to 1950.

Tour groups will meet in the William Allen White Library Learning Commons and depart at 4:15 and 5:15 p.m. Thursday. To reserve a seat, call 341-6431.
