Emporia State University is one of 159 higher education institutions named to the “Best of the Midwest” section of the Princeton Review’s “2016 Best Colleges: Region by Region” website feature.
The 159 colleges chosen for its “Best in the Midwest” list are located in 12 states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. The Princeton Review also designated colleges in the Northeast, West and Southeast. Collectively, the 643 colleges named to regional lists constitute about 25 percent of the nation’s 2,500 four-year colleges.
The Princeton Review does not rank the 649 colleges in its “2016 Best Colleges: Region by Region” list hierarchically or by region or in various categories. The alphabetical lists may be found online at http://www.princetonreview.com/best-regional-colleges.aspx
For the project, The Princeton Review asked students attending the schools to rate their own schools on several issues — from the accessibility of their professors to quality of their science lab facilities — and answer questions about themselves, their fellow students and their campus life. Comments from surveyed students are quoted in the school profiles on The Princeton Review site.
