Federal Direct Graduate and Professional PLUS Loan
Graduate and professional degree students are eligible to borrow under the PLUS Loan Program up to the lesser of their cost of attendance minus other estimated financial assistance or up to $100,000 for graduate students and $200,000 for professional students. Graduate PLUS loans will no longer be available effective July 1, 2026.
Terms and conditions of this loan type
- A determination that the applicant does not have an adverse credit history

- Applicants are encouraged to have applied for their annual loan maximum eligibility under the Federal Unsubsidized Direct Stafford Loan Program before applying for a Direct Graduate/Professional PLUS loan.
